Chief Executive Officer
Andre is a seasoned power systems engineer with over 30 years of experience developing energy infrastructure across Africa and the Middle East. His career is defined by a unique ability to bridge the gap between project finance and technical execution, ensuring that complex energy projects are not only well-engineered but also bankable and commercially viable.
As CEO of GigaBess, he leads the development of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, overseeing everything from feasibility studies to financial close. His deep regulatory understanding and his hands-on experience managing Power Purchase Agreements for municipalities and IPPs, ensures that GigaBess projects are structured for success and aligned with the needs of investors, lenders, and off-takers.
Andre holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering and a Post Graduate Master's in Power Systems Economics from UKZN.
Chief Information Officer
Philip serves as Chief Information Officer of GigaBess and Chief Operating Officer of GigaBess Ardent Solutions, the group's technology and software division. A software innovator, IT architect, and software engineer. Philip holds a BSc. in Computer Science from Wits.
Philip designed and developed Ardent Mobility, the company's flagship mobility and business solutions platform. Passionate about innovation and technology, he specializes in creating practical, user-focused software that simplifies complex business challenges.
Philip is driven by a commitment to working closely with clients to engineer smart, effective solutions that deliver real business value.
Director Strategic Growth & Investment
Mohamed is a qualified engineer and finance specialist. He has spent over 30 years in engineering and development finance in various capacities. He has served as a Non-Executive director of many companies over the past 20 years.
At GigaBess he serves in the development of the project finance and corporate finance aspects of the project development arena. He specialises in the financial modelling and structuring of transactions for optimal returns to the project, shareholders and to the debt providers.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree (B.Sc Eng) from UKZN and also holds internationally recognised financial postgrad qualifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst (USA) and a Diploma in Financial Management. He has also completed various short programs in corporate finance, project finance as well as IOD director development programs.
